Kolberg, today Kolobrzeg (Polish), is a port city and is located in West Pomerania on the Polish Baltic Sea. The health resort is the most famous bathing resort in Poland and about 300 kilometers from Berlin on the route between Usedom and Gdansk (Gdansk). With around 60,000 inhabitants, the city is divided into different areas, such as the port district, the cureneighborhood, the west beach, downtown and other attractions.

Located at the mouth of the Parseta river in Western Pomerania, the Hanseatic city of Kolobrzeg (Kolberg) was founded in the Middle Ages and has long played an important economic and political role in the region. The city was largely destroyed during World War II, but was rebuilt afterwards and has been one of Poland's most popular seaside resorts ever since.
